IRRS Worldwide
Between 2006 and 2011 more than forty IRRS Missions were carried out worldwide, both initial and follow-up, full-scope and reduced scope, and more requests are coming for the next years. Also, several workshops on lessons learned from previous IRRS missions have been carried out with very positive results and valuable feedback for the future.
At the present moment, IAEA is currently in the process of compiling information on findings from these missions to be used by the IAEA for development and harmonization of safety standards and by the Member States for continuous improvement in the regulatory practices and policies.
