International Conference on Enhancing Nuclear Safety and Security Through Technical and Scientific Support Organizations (TSOs): Challenges and Opportunities in a Rapidly Changing World
The purpose of the conference is to consider how to develop and strengthen technical and scientific capabilities to achieve enhanced nuclear and radiation safety and security of facilities and activities, including operational legacy situations and emerging challenges as well as the exchange and transfer of best practices with nuclear power embarking countries.

National workshop on developing and strengthening technical and scientific capabilities supporting regulatory functions, Armenia, 19-21 November 2024
National TSO workshop to analyse the results of self-assessment conducted by Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ANRA)/Nuclear and Radiation Safety Centre (NRSC), Armenia, based on the TOSCA methodology was carried out in Yerevan, ARMENIA from 19-21 Nov 2024. The primary objective was to support NRSC, Armenia in developing an action plan for further developing and maintaining its technical and scientific capabilities for supporting regulatory functions.

National TSOF Workshop to develop and strengthen technical and scientific capabilities, NNR, South Africa, 25-29 Nov 2019 First TSOF National workshop to analyse the results of self-assessment conducted by NNR/CNSS, South Africa, based on the TSO Initiative tools was carried out in Nov 2019. The primary objective was to assist NNR/CNSS, South Africa in establishing and maintaining technical and scientific capabilities for supporting regulatory functions. IAEA-TSOF also intended to capture feedback for the toolbox from the South Africa national workshop. | |
10th Consultancy Meeting, 8-10 April 2019, IAEA, Vienna The tenth Consultancy Meeting was held in Vienna from 8th to 10th April 2019, to review the entire spider-web chart analysis tool (including the incorporation of self-assessment questionnaire) to bring it close to finalisation. Experts briefed on the status of development of case studies template. Discussions on the latest draft of time-line strategy document (mapping/roadmap of TSO competences aligned with milestone approach) were also carried out.

9th Consultancy Meeting, 19-21 March 2019, IAEA, Vienna The ninth Consultancy Meeting was held in Vienna from 19th to 21st March 2019, to review the entire TSO self-assessment questionnaire to bring it close to finalisation. Experts also provdied an overview on the concept of time-line strategy approach (mapping/roadmap of TSO competences aligned with milestone approach) and discussions on the impact of such an approach on drafting of self-assessment questionnaire were also carried out. | |
