To have well maintained radiation monitors to perform the tasks and well trained personnel, where appropriate.
To evaluate potential radiological consequences of the event on the environment.
To evaluate potential radiological consequences on people involved internally and externally if needed.
To have and use a suitable procedure to handle the situation.
To have equipment to handle and segregate the radioactive source found in scrap metal.
To use adequate Personal Protective Equipment.
