The objectives of this group are as follows:
- To identify and share good practices and lessons learned among ANSN member countries in the area of emergency preparedness and response (EPR);
- To enhance the capability of EPR in the region, consistent with the IAEA safety standards and associated technical documents;
- To serve as a forum for information exchange and to foster the sharing of knowledge and experience on EPR;
- To promote a strong safety culture within regulatory bodies and operating organizations through EPRTG activities;
- To assist to learn the EPR through national and international level exercises; and
- To provide feedback on the experience in implementing EPRTG activity plans and the needs of additional activity plans with strong justification to the ANSN PMO and the SACG Coordinator.
