There are mainly four kinds of reports generated from SARIS namely Module Status report, Questionnaire Status report, Lifecycle Interim report and the Lifecycle Final report. The Status and Interim reports include all data (all questions and answers of every module whether completed or not) but the Final report includes onlymodules that have been completed (i.e. all primary questions that have been completed)
I. To generate Module Status report
1. In the SARIS Lifecycles tab page, select the module for which you want to generate a status report
2. Click the Status button at the Reporting group and a Status Report dialogue box will appear
3. Provide your data content options, including selecting the report output file type (such as MSWord and pdf if you want to save the report into your hard drive, or XPS if you just want to view the report)
II. To generate Questionnaire Status report
1. Select the Questionnaire for which you want to generate a status report from the Lifecycles tab page
2. Follow similar steps I. (2-3) above
III. To generate Lifecycle Interim report
1. Select the Lifecycle for which you want to generate an interim report from the Lifecycles tab page
2. Click the drop-down menu (
symbol) at the Interim button in the Reporting group
3. Select the file type (MSWord, pdf, XPS, etc ) of the interim report you want to generate
4. Save or view the report generated in your hard drive
IV. To generate Lifecycle Final report
1. Select the Lifecycle for which you want to generate a final report from the Lifecycles tab page
2. Click the Final button at the Reporting group
3. When the dialogue box appears, do the following:
i. If you don’t want to archive the final report, provide your options and save the report into your hard drive
ii. If you want to archive the report, provide your options and select the Archive reports check box; provide name, and your final report will be archived within the SARIS database.
Note: If you want to include all attachments embedded in your report, make sure to select the Embedded Attachments in pdf check box.
Note: In order to be able to generate a final report, the Country Information Lifecycle (which is created by default) has to be completed by the Administrator.
Note: Final reports could be archived in PDF file only.
