PURPOSE​:

Segment 1 of the School is intended to provide general advice to participants about the collection and analysis of information relative to country legal practice and to the organization and status of the national governmental, le​gal and regulatory system before initiating the drafting of a new regulation or revising an existing one. The tasks included in this segment should be started as early as possible after the need for a new regulation or for revising an existing one has been identified and, preferably, at least one year before the participation in segment 3 of the School.
