Peer Review Service: SEDO - Safety Evaluation of Fuel Cycle Facilities during Operation
Purpose	The purpose of the SEDO Safety Review Service is to assist the requesting Member State in enhancing the operational safety of fuel cycle facilities and to promote the continuous development of operational safety by the dissemination of information on good safety practices to other Member States with fuel cycle facilities.
Audience	Operating organisations in Member States operating fuel cycle facilities
Team composition	International team of experts (5 to 12 experts)
Duration	2 - 3 weeks
Expected output	A set of recommendations identifying where operational safety improvements are needed to fulfil the IAEA safety requirements and the identification of good safety practices to be brought to the attention of other operators of fuel cycle facilities.
Average usage in 2005-2010	2007 Brazil (SEDO Mission); 2010 Brazil (SEDO Follow-Up Visit), Romania (Preparatory Meeting); 2011 Romania (SEDO Mission)
Recommended frequency	Upon request of MS
Resource requirements	2 IAEA staff members to act as Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader and up to 12 experts depending on the scope of the SEDO mission.
