| Purpose | The purpose of the OSART programme is to assist Member States to enhance the operational safety of specific nuclear power plants by providing recommendations and suggestions and to promote the continuous improvement of operational safety within all Member States by dissemination of information on IAEA Safety Standards and good international practices. |
| Audience | Nuclear power plants and nuclear utilities. (Comment: Operating experience review (PROSPER) for regulatory bodies could be integrated into IRRS.) |
| Team composition | For standard review scope 10 external experts (primarily peers from nuclear power plants, but also regualtory bodies or technical support organisations) plus team leader and deputy team leader from IAEA. |

| Average usage in 2005-2010 | In average 6 OSART preparatory meetings, 6 OSART missions and 6 OSART follow-up mssions annually. |
