Peer Review Service: EPREV - Emergency Preparedness Review
Purpose	The  Emergency Preparedness Review (EPREV) is a service provided by IAEA to appraise preparedness for nuclear and/or radiological emergencies in the Member States.
Audience	All organisations involved in emergency preparedness and response at the national, local and facility level (depending on the scope).
Team composition	Typically 3-5 team members (1-2 IEC staff, 2-3 external experts)
Duration	5-10 days, depending on the type and scope of the EPREV. The basic mission takes 5 days, which can be extended, if needed, based on agreement with the host (e.g. if the complexity of the EPREV justifies longer period or an exercise is to be observed and evaluated etc.)
Expected output	An EPREV mission report containing an assessment of the current situation vis-à-vis the relevant IAEA standards, including the listing of the good practices, as well as recommendations and suggestions for the development of emergency preparedness and response capabilities (to be implemented immediately to develop the interim capability and/or for the longer term implementation)

Resource requirements	Mission (travel, DSA) of 1-2 IEC staff and 2-3 external experts; depending on the duration type and scope of the mission
